Sarasota Home Computers was originally founded as MTS Home Solutions in December, 2006 to meet the growing needs of home computer users in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Relocating to Sarasota, Florida in July of 2010, the company was renamed Sarasota Home Computers.  While there are several companies which cater to the IT needs of small and medium-sized businesses, SHC focuses primarily on helping home computer users to have the best experience possible with the technology that they have. We seek to set ourselves apart from the competition by offering great customer service at a price that home computer users can afford.

Chris worked on 2 computers in our home, cleaning up one and instructing me and on more functionality on the other one which is fairly new and different from my previous one that crashed.  I thought I had some programs on the new one that aren't there in entirety.

It is hard for us to transport the desktop computers that we have to another site for repair etc. and this home service is just superb. It is personalized, comfortable and fixes the problems. We had a crashed hard drive on a laptop.  My expectation was I would lose all the data, but Chris spent a great deal of time and many attempts to "boot" the bad drive, to recover important data.  He was successful ( a lot of patience).  During the processing time, Chris took the time to work through a number of other small issues and even point out important back-up procedures I should follow.  Nice work.

My PC was running very slow and was experiencing many issues so I contacted Sarasota Home Computers. With PC's sometimes it's difficult to explain the issues so Chris came over and we sat together so I could actually walk him through each issue and show him what was happening. Since I travel and have a MAC, he took my PC with him to work on while I was out of town. On both occasions the PC was ready upon my return and in both cases he brought the PC back to me on the scheduled day.  Would definitely recommend Sarasota Home Computers.

Diagnosed & Replaced Failed Part Replaced the power supply on my desktop computer when it wouldn't power on. Chris returned my call promptly and asked me to describe the problem I was having with the computer. He suspected what the problem was, and scheduled a brief visit to quickly try to troubleshoot the problem (no extra charge). He explained my options and we discussed how much it was worth spending on my four year old computer. He even told me that if the part did not solve the problem, he would be able to rescue my information from the hard drive. Chris ordered the part, and when it arrived, scheduled a visit to install it. The computer is working - took less than a hour to install the part. Chris even recommended an on-line back up service that is really inexpensive. Chris was courteous, professional, prompt, and knowledgeable.

Problem Solved!  Our home laptop wouldn't connect to the Internet and we were delighted to find a local company, MTS, to contact for service.
